Inherently, there is nothing wrong with his ideas 和 There is nothing inherently wrong with his ideas 這 兩 句 ， 意 思 有 甚 麼 分 別 ？

這兩 句 和 There is nothing wrong inherently with his ideas 一 樣 ， 都 是 說 「 他的 主 意 本 質 上 沒 有 不 當 」 。 說 事 物 本 質 、 是 否 如 此 等 的 副 詞 （ adverb ） ， 一 般 可用 於 句 首 、 句 中 甚 至 句 末 ， 常 見 的 有 basically 、 rightly 、 wrongly 、 perhaps 、 maybe 、 presumably 、 allegedly 、 certainly 、 surely 、 undoubtedly 等 ，例 如 ： （ 1 ） Basically, he is a good man / He is basically a good man / He is a good man basically （ 他 基 本 上 是 個 好 人 ） 。 （ 2 ） Clearly the answer is wrong / The answer is clearly wrong （ 答 案 明 顯 有 誤 ） 。

美國 民 主 黨 希 拉 莉 跟 奧 巴 馬 爭 奪 黨 內 選 票 ， 聲 言 We're going strong and we're going all the way 。 這 句 話 我 看 不 明 白 ， 先 生 可 以 談 談 way 字 用 法 嗎 ？

這一 句 宜 先 談 成 語 to go strong 。 To go strong 指 「 虎 虎 有 生 氣 」 或 「 硬 朗 」 ， 常和 still （ 仍 然 ） 一 字 連 用 ， 意 思 是 經 過 長 時 間 仍 然 狀 態 良 好 ， 那 go 字 一 般 用 ing 形 式 ， 例 如 ： At eighty, he is still going strong （ 他 八 十 歲 ， 身 體 仍 然硬 朗 ） 。

All the way 的 way 指 「 道 路 」 ， all the way 即 「 全 程 」 或 「 由始 至 終 」 ， 引 伸 其 義 ， 還 可 解 作 「 完 全 」 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） He walked all the way from Hong Kong to Canton （ 他 由 香 港 一 直 步 行 到 廣 州 ） 。 （ 2 ） She supported me all the way （ 她 全 力 支 持 我 ） 。 希 拉 莉 和 奧 巴 馬 爭 競 ， 一 開 始 就失 利 ， 希 望 支 持 者 不 要 氣 餒 ， 所 以 說 ： 「 我 們 形 勢 很 好 ， 一 定 競 選 到 底 。 」 換 言 之， 她 不 會 認 輸 退 選 。
