頭 三 個 說 法 ， 用 in 或 of 都 可 以 ； 第 四 個 說 法 ， 則 可 用 in 、 of 或 on ， 意 思 沒 有 什 麼 分 別 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） The second sentence in / of the first paragraph does not make any sense to me （ 第 一 段 第 二 句 我 完 全 看不 懂 ） 。 （ 2 ） The last word in / of / on each line rhymes （ 每 一 行 最 後 一個 字 都 押 韻 ） 。

填 寫 表 格 的 「 國 籍 」 欄 ， 要 說 「 中 國 籍 」 ， 應 寫 China 還 是 Chinese ？

"British." （ 「 你 是 什 麼 國 籍 ？ 」 「 英 國 。 」 ） 你 不 可 以 說 His nationality is China 之 類 。 當 然 ， 填 寫 表 格 ， Nationality 欄 內 填 China 、 Britain 等 ， 也 不 會 有 人 說 你 犯 錯 ： 畢 竟 那 不 是 完 整 的 句 子 。

I could not manage / did not manage to do it （ 我 辦 不 到 ） 這 一 句 ， 應 用 could 還 是 did ？

兩個 說 法 都 正 確 ， 但 could 可 以 指 總 是 做 不 到 的 事 ， did 則 多 指 某 個 時 間 做 不 到 ， 例如 ： （ 1 ） The paralytic could not manage to wash himself （ 那 癱 瘓 病 人 無法 自 己 沐 浴 ） 。 （ 2 ） I tried to lift the weight, but did not manage to do it （ 我 嘗 試 舉 起 啞 鈴 ， 但 辦 不 到 ） 。
